304 stainless steel gas spring apply to cabinet
304 stainless steel gas springs are well suited for cabinet equipment, especially where corrosion resistance, clean appearance, and reliable opening/closing support are important.
Applications of 304 Stainless Steel Gas Springs in Cabinet Equipment
Electrical control cabinets – Helps lift and hold heavy cabinet doors or covers.
Industrial equipment cabinets – Supports access doors and makes maintenance easier.
Stainless steel cabinets – Matches the cabinet material and provides a clean appearance.
Kitchen and food-processing equipment – Suitable where cleanliness and corrosion resistance are important.
Medical equipment cabinets – Provides controlled and smooth door movement.
Outdoor equipment cabinets – 304 stainless steel offers better corrosion resistance than ordinary carbon-steel gas springs.
Machine enclosures – Supports large inspection covers and access panels.
Storage cabinets – Makes heavy doors easier to open and prevents sudden closing.

Why use 304 stainless steel?
SS304 gas springs offer good corrosion resistance, strength, and durability. They are particularly useful in environments exposed to moisture, cleaning chemicals, humidity, or frequent handling. The gas spring can also be combined with damping or locking functions when the cabinet door needs controlled movement or positioning.
For cabinet equipment, the gas spring is normally installed between the cabinet frame and door/panel. When the door is opened, the gas spring provides lifting assistance; when closing, it controls the movement and reduces the risk of the door dropping suddenly.
Typical application:
304 stainless steel gas spring → industrial cabinet door → smooth opening + lifting assistance + controlled closing + corrosion resistance.
If the cabinet is exposed to salt water or marine conditions, SS316 stainless steel is generally a better choice than SS304.
